Upcoming Fundraisers & Activities
Set for March 17th, the Katy Lions will cast ballots for who we want to serve as officers for the July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023 Lions Year. Elections are a huge part of running our club, and we need all of our Lions in attendance, since the constitution and bylaws require a quorum for us to be able to actually conduct the elections procedure itself.
Working with the City of Katy and Keep Katy Beautiful, the Katy Lions Club are staffing a Recycling Day on April 2nd. Please click here for a list of what can and cannot be recycled, and share the event with everyone you know. Let's increase our positive impact on the environment!
We're working with the Gulf Coast Blood Bank to host a blood drive on April 10th from 10am to 2pm over at Big Z's Pizza House and Brew. Please take a few moments and check your eligibility by visiting giveblood.org/donate/check-eligibility because you might be surprised that you're eligible. Once confirmed, send Lion Tiffani (liontiffani@katylions.org) an email and let her know you're coming out to donate.
Join us June 2nd as we host our own President, Lion Carol Barnett, in her capacity as Zone A-4 Chair for District 2-S2. As a Zone Chair, Carol helps foster collaboration, growth, and service in all nine clubs in the district. She is making our club her last stop so we can tell us how our service stacked up across the zone and the district.
Scheduled Meetings
Monthly Members Forum
Our regularly scheduled Members Forum is the third Thursday of every month, hosted at the Times Square Bowling Alley. We talk about all of our upcoming service projects, what we're planning to do, and it's also a great time to catch up with everyone.
Monthly Board Meeting
After each Members Forum, the board of directors meet to transact the club's business. A lot of what the board fields at our monthly meeting are house-keeping and formalities that are necessary to function. Members are invited to attend these meetings as well.
